Great Great Aunt Marjorie's Chocolate Chip Cookies

  Aunt Marjorie's Chocolate Chip Cookies

Aunt Marjorie
I have fond memories of visiting my Aunt Marjorie and Grandpa home in Pelham Central Ontario CA.  Just as you entered the kitchen off the front porch on the left was a wall of built in cupboards.  If you opened the first set of top doors you would find an old round white Tupperware container and it was always filled with homemade Chocolate Chip Cookies.  I cannot eat a Chocolate Chip Cookie today without thinking about my Aunt Marjorie.  Today is Aunt Marjorie's 93 birthday and we are all lucky to still have her as part of our lives.  So in celebration Emma, Rylee and I are sharing her cookies with you.

On a children's TV show I learned that the best way to teach children how to break eggs for cooking is to let them do it into a shallow dish one egg at a time.

This way if shells get in the egg you can easily pick them out without affecting your baking.

Next you put the butter, sugars and vanilla into a bowl

and mix them together then you add for dry ingredients and mix both batters together

Now using two spoons you drop the cookies onto your baking sheet

Then they go in the oven until golden brown
